CAYSH’s Emergency Lodgings Accommodation Network service delivers Supported Lodgings across South East London for 16-21 year olds who've left home unplanned and need some breathing space to consider their future.
CAYSH operates the Emergency Lodgings Accommodation Network (ELAN) in South East London. The service is commissioned by a consortium of three London Boroughs (Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham). ELAN is a short-term lodgings service providing accommodation for a maximum of 28 days to young people aged 16-21 providing a cooling-off period for them and their families, often following a crisis and having left the family home unplanned. The primary intention of the ELAN service is to provided respite support and facilitate a return home wherever possible and safe. Where a return home is not possible or safe, ELAN works with the individual’s Local Authority to help place the young person in longer-term accommodation such as Supported Housing, normally in their ‘home-borough’.
